The number 93 is back, completing a near-perfect Saturday at the cathedral of motor racing after securing pole position and then victory in the sprint race of the Spanish Grand Prix.
Marc Márquez (33) suffered a crash at the final corner, but true to his classic fighting spirit, he got up, switched bikes, and headed straight for the win.
Weather conditions played a role, with Miller and Álex Márquez also encountering problems—the younger of the Cervera riders had to retire. Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín also ended up on the ground.
Ahead of Bagnaia and Morbidelli
Thus, Marc Márquez dominated the sprint, finishing ahead of Pecco Bagnaia and Franco Morbidelli. The next Spaniard was Raúl Fernández, who ended in sixth place.
With this victory, Marc moves up to fourth in the world championship standings with 57 points, overtaking Fabio Di Giannantonio, who sits fifth with 55 points.
